Kennard “Keino” Williams, Founder

After years of experience in the high-performance automotive and aerospace industries, Keino Williams founded Williams Engineering, LLC. The creation of Williams Engineering was the fulfillment of a childhood dream for Keino. While growing up in a family-owned automotive business, Keino’s fascination with cars and mechanical applications began at an early age. Spending many hours working with his father, James Williams, Sr., taught him every aspect of operating an automotive business, from general car repair to developing cylinder heads for the family race car.
After high school, Keino made the decision to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering, with the hopes of someday starting his own engineering business. In June of 1993, Keino graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later that summer, he accepted a position with Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley in Milwaukee, WI as a Sr. Development Engineer, developing products for the Electro-Mechanical division.
In 1995, Keino accepted a position as Applications Engineer for Makino Machine Tools in Mason, OH, working in the Production Machinery Division. He completed projects for many prestigious companies in the automotive industry, including General Motors, the Ford Motor Company, Daimler Chrysler, GKN Automotive, and Edelbrock. In 1999, Keino was promoted to the Aerospace Group. While completing projects for numerous aerospace and medical companies, including Boeing, Raytheon, General Electric, Alcoa, Vought Aircraft and McCann Aerospace, Weaver Manufacturing, and Goodrich Aerospace, Keino established himself as one of the top applications engineers in aerospace and 5-axis CNC high-speed machining.
In 2005, Keino started his own company within the family-owned Williams Engine Design, Inc. With the purchase of a 5-axis Haas VF-5 vertical machining center and Faro reverse engineering arm, Keino rented shop space from his father and established Williams Engineering, LLC, offering complete engineering and manufacturing services focusing on the aerospace, after-market automotive and medical industries.
